The School of Management was established in 1997. It comprises 5 departments, 1 independent institute, 5 degree programs, and 2 research centers, including the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, Department of Business Administration, Department of Information Management, Department of Finance, Department of Accounting, and the International Graduate Institute of AI in Management, along with the International Bachelor Program in Management, Bachelor Program in Business Administration, Master Program in Entrepreneurship Management, Executive MBA Program, and Doctor of Business Administration Program. To cultivate the management talent needed by the nation, the School emphasizes both undergraduate and graduate education, with every department offering both master's and doctoral programs. The School currently has 85 faculty members and approximately 3,000 students, of whom about 65% are undergraduates, 29% are master's students, and 6% are doctoral students. In May 2014, the School of Management received AACSB accreditation from the United States, becoming the only accredited national university in central Taiwan and the 10th accredited institution in Taiwan. Only 5% of business schools worldwide hold this accreditation, demonstrating that YunTech's School of Management stands at the forefront of international standards—an achievement of great pride and recognition. In January 2019, AACSB headquarters announced that the School of Management had passed reaccreditation, making it the first university of technology in Taiwan to achieve AACSB reaccreditation, further affirming the School's recognition and oversight by a top international accrediting body. In September 2021, the School received the Ministry of Education's "Bilingual Education Program for College Students" designation as a key bilingual development college, committing to building an excellent bilingual learning environment and cultivating bilingual professionals in specialized fields. On July 4, 2024, AACSB—the world's leading business school accrediting body with a century-long history—officially announced that National Yunlin University of Science and Technology's School of Management had once again been recognized for its outstanding performance over the past five years and successfully achieved AACSB reaccreditation. |
