In the 2020 Business Accreditation Standards, AACSB incorporated diversity and inclusion into its core values and is committed to creating an environment that promotes diversity, inclusion and a sense of belonging. In June 2023, AACSB provided more detailed clarification on its annual update of the guidelines and standards. The 2020 Accreditation standards are divided into three parts and nine standards in total: "Strategic Management and Innovation", "Learner Success", and "Thought Leadership, Engagement, and Societal Impact".
Accreditation Advantages
The initial accreditation phase will involve the business school, committee and AACSB staff at the same time. After completing the qualification application, AACSB will send a professional mentor to the school to assist in completing the initial stage of accreditation. During the preparation process, the school must submit an initial self-evaluation report (iSER) As well as the implementation of the achievement report, and finally the submission of the self-evaluation report (SER). After everything is ready for SER, other visiting committees will review and submit reports on the spot, and finally grant the qualification of "recommended accreditation".
The College of Management of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology has passed the initial accreditation in May 2014 and is currently in the re-accreditation stage of AACSB. Every 5 years is a re-accreditation cycle, where the school must accept the Chair's on-site visit, write an annual report, accept the assessment and guidance of AACSB, and submit the Continuous Improvement Report (CIR) in the fifth year, and finally pass the "re-accreditation".
